british did everything ok. they received 1/4 of the info from russians and still they chose correct spots. i dont get why people are caring so much about mails. you can recreate a chart from the data given by russians, the chart will be the same. just read some climatology forums on the net, there is often a nice and constructive talk about the data collected by stations in russia.
